Phoenix looked at the metal creatures before her. The smallest one was blue with a gold head, red eyes and brown arm on his back. The other.....was very...attractive to Phoenix. He was tall with a blue face, red eyes, bronze armor, and what appeared to be brown leather with stripes on his arms and chest. Phoenix paused when she realized she'd thought the taller one was attractive. She normally never let herself think such things.

"What in the Inferno are you?" the tall one asked which snapped Phoenix back into reality. "I am a dragon wolf...a hybred. Half dragon and half wolf. You are...?" Phoenix said. The tall one opened his mouth to answer but was cut off by the short one. "That is Dinobot...he's an ex-pred so feel free to make fun of him. I am Rattrap." Rattrap said with a smile, which showed off a pair of mouse like in his mouth.

Phoenix gave him a confused look and asked "What's a Predicon?" Rattrap and Dinobot just stared at her like she was an alien (which technically she was).

Back at base a transmetal Optimus was pacing. Dinobot and Rattrap hadn't reported in since the storm hit. Now the it had trailed away and still no reply. Primal rubbed his orange optics.

"Yo! Boss monkey you readin' this?" a voice crackled over the comlink. Optimus snapped to attention and walked over to the monitor. "This is base, what's your status?" he asked. "Well... me and dinobutt here ran into some preds and...." Rattrap trailed off. Optimus was about to tell cheetor to fly out to where the signal was when Rattrap came back onto the link. "And we sorta found something...er I mean someone." Rattrap said. "A stasis pod?" Cheetor asked. Optimus had been thinking the same thing but no pod had been detected entering the atmosphere.

"No not exactly....we'll just bring her to you 'kay?" he said. "Her?" Optimus and Cheetor said in unison. "Rattrap what ar-." Optimus was cut off...Rattrap had turned off his comlink. For a moment the two maximals stood in silence...it was broken when Cheetor asked "What do you think she is if she didn't come in a stasis pod....is she...an alien?" Optimus was thinking the same thing. He turned to Cheetor and said "I really don't know."
